ITSP Magazine: What Could The Next Ransomware Note Say? Let’s Learn from 2016

ITSP Magazine posted an article including a look back at the growth of ransomware in 2016 and predictions for what’s ahead in 2017. Citrix senior technical marketing manager for security, Florin Lazurca, was featured as an expert in the article saying that, "In 2016, ransomware quickly outgrew its initial target base – the average home Internet user – to organizations and institutions. Healthcare was a soft target because of the urgency of restoring access and data. In 2017 we could very well see the spread into critical infrastructure, IoT, and banking."
