TechTarget SearchVirtualDesktop.com: Businesses eye VDI security to fight cyberattacks

Ramid Edmond at TechTarget posted an article discussing the importance of VDI as a layer that can help IT minimize the number of vulnerable endpoints. Edmond interviewed Citrix XenApp customer Rivermark Community Credit Union saying that VDI helps them minimize what attackers can reach, and that because content is not stored locally on devices, IT can focus on securing the data center.

Edmond also quoted Citrix CEO Kirill Tatarinov from the recent earnings call saying that security is something everyone is feeling and experiencing. He says, "This rise in attacks has made businesses more sensitive to the issue of cybersecurity -- even cyberterrorism, which became a major topic during the presidential debates."
